A village on the plateau above Bled, with Vintgar round the corner
Zasip is a farming village 2 km north of Lake Bled. Evenings are quiet. Paths lead from the house towards Vintgar and Bled. There is an inn in the village.

What we recommend
From the pletna boat to the mountains
We advise you in person, based on what you like, the season and the weather. A few places we suggest to every guest:
Lake Bled and the island
The walk round the lake is about 6 km. A pletna, the traditional wooden boat, takes you to the island.
Vintgar Gorge
A wooden walkway along the Radovna river, 5 minutes by car or half an hour on foot from the house. In summer, go early in the morning.
Ojstrica and Osojnica
Viewpoints above the lake: Ojstrica (611 m), Mala (685 m) and Velika Osojnica (756 m). A short but steep climb.
Pokljuka and the Pokljuka Gorge
A forested plateau with mountain pastures and cross-country ski trails in winter. The Pokljuka Gorge is less known than Vintgar.
Bohinj, Savica and Vogel
Under an hour's drive. Swimming in the lake, the Savica waterfall, the cable car up Vogel and the church of St John the Baptist at Ribčev Laz.
Kranjska Gora and Vršič
Lake Jasna, the source of the Sava at Zelenci, Planica and the road over the Vršič pass to the Soča valley.
Radovljica and Kropa
Two old towns with a blacksmithing and beekeeping heritage, good for a rainy day.
Planina pod Golico, Mojstrana
For those who want more peace: the meadows below Golica, the Peričnik waterfall and the Slovenian Alpine Museum.
Getting here
7 km from the A2 motorway
By car
On the A2 motorway (Ljubljana–Karavanke) take the Lesce exit and follow the signs for Bled, then Zasip. It is 7 km from the exit and 57 km from Ljubljana.
Parking
Each room and apartment has its own parking space at the house. Parking is free.
By plane
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is 35 km away, Klagenfurt in Austria 61 km. We can arrange an airport transfer at extra cost.
Without a car
The lake is a 27-minute walk. You can hire a bike from us at extra cost.
